Message from Morgan
“For most of us, including myself, the war in Ukraine is far away. The distance allows us to block out, avoid, or forget about it, even if we sympathize with the hundreds who die or are injured in combat each day.
Earlier this year, at a new Ukrainian-owned bakery in DC, as I eagerly poked my fork into a pistachio-and meringue-filled delight, I saw the war in person for the first time. Five Ukrainian soldiers who were about my age and clearly veterans of the ongoing war hobbled through the bakery’s entrance. None of them had all four limbs, but all of them were smiling wide, presumably because they were alive and about to enjoy a slice of something familiarly sweet. In that moment, me and my four, perfectly intact limbs were inspired to do something to help heroes like them fighting on the frontlines. I figured, what better way than running–because I love it and because I can?
I ask that you please consider donating to support Ukraine’s frontline soldiers. Your generous donations will save lives.“

Morgan is running for Medical shipments to Ukraine
The need for medical support on the Ukrainian frontlines remains just as urgent now as it was when the conflict began. Aid Pioneers coordinate the delivery of critically-needed medical supplies, enabling healthcare professionals to save lives amidst challenging conditions. Each shipment, valued at approximately €20,000, allows Aid Pioneers to send a 40-ft container filled with medical supplies worth up to €500,000. Collaborating with local partners, Aid Pioneers ensures that only essential materials are shipped and distributed to hospitals in need. According to partner organizations in Ukraine, one shipment enables hospitals to conduct approximately 2,200 potentially life-saving treatments.
