Message from Mara and Marlene

“Dear supporters,

As we prepare for our half marathon, we are driven by a really important concern: medical aid for Syria. The sanctions imposed by the international community have made it much more difficult to import vital medical supplies into the region. Aid Pioneers is one of the few international organizations with the necessary licenses to deliver life-saving supplies to the people in need.

Aid Pioneers' open and straightforward approach to delivering medical aid in Syria, combined with its high impact to outreach ratio, gives us the confidence that the funds we raise will multiply their impact.

Thanks to your contributions, we can make a difference and ensure that vital medical supplies reach Syrian communities suffering from unimaginable hardship. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us closer to our goal of helping people in need. Thank you for supporting us in this heart project. Through our combined efforts, we can bring hope and healing to those who need it most.

Love,

Mara and Marlene”

Mara and Marlene are running for medical shipments to Syria

In the wake of ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, the crisis in war-torn Northwest Syria often fades from public attention. Syrians continue to endure the horrors of war, with frequent airstrikes, blockades, and international sanctions impeding the flow of vital aid to the region. Addressing this urgent need, Aid Pioneers ships medical supplies to 40 local clinics, providing care for a community affected by years of conflict. Each shipment costs around €20,000 but brings approximately €400,000 worth of medical supplies to Syria, enabling an estimated 2,200 potentially life-saving treatments.
