Gender Equality

The fight for gender equality is multi-faceted and complex, spanning generations across the world. Sexism can act at any level, from the government to family life. That’s why identifying and addressing concrete avenues for change can be a crucial weapon in striving for equality.

Alongside our partners, Aid Pioneers focuses on tackling period poverty and taboo—an issue that can affect everything from school attendance to job opportunities, enforcing cycles of inequity and making it a key, concrete target in the fight for gender equality.

Period Poverty (n):

a cycle of alienation and lack of opportunity for people who menstruate.

Millions of people who menstruate do not have the resources to manage their periods. Inadequate access to hygiene products and societal taboos often combine to create period poverty.

United Nations estimate that “1 in 10 girls in Sub-Saharan Africa misses school during their menstrual cycle.” Addressing period poverty is a fundamental aspect of fighting for gender equality.

How we support our partners

Supply Chain Support

Raw materials can be difficult to come by in our partner countries. Aid Pioneers acts as a mediator to establish connections with bigger sellers and organize the supply chain logistics.

Sales Strategy Consulting

Aid Pioneers offers strategic consulting to help partner NGOs find efficiencies and streamline processes. With each NGO already having a robust system in place, consulting can help super-charge their impact.

Fixed Capital Investmnets

As buyers for hygiene kits ramp up, production capacity needs to grow with it. Here, Aid Pioneers turns to capital investments. With our partners, we see what input suits the organization's strategy best, and work to match their needs.
